The $9.6 million transformational project will drive economic growth, provide important social benefits, and fill an identified need for enhanced community and sporting infrastructure in our regional city.

The construction project includes a new community facility and AFL compliant multi-sport change rooms. This project will replace the ageing and non-compliant facilities with significant accessibility issues, with new, modern, compliant and accessible infrastructure that will ensure the Horsham City Oval retains its stature as Horsham’s premier oval and one of the key sporting and events facilities in the Wimmera Southern-Mallee region.

Specifically the project scope includes the following:

  • Demolition of existing community facility and change rooms, kiosk, and precinct entry area
  • Construct a community facility, seating up to 200, with accessible amenities, catering and conferencing facilities, office and meeting space
  • Construct a multi-purpose change rooms (AFL compliant) including two change rooms with additional amenities, two separate umpires change rooms with amenities, first aid/medical room, storage, gym and public toilet.
  • Construct covered concourse and veranda to create a walkway between the two buildings and all weather viewing area for the precinct
  • New North West main entry to the precinct including food kiosk, ticket box and landscaping
  • New South West entry to the precinct via the Community Facility concourse
  • Second ticket box for south entry to the precinct.
