Community Engagement Policy Review

Background

Council’s Community Engagement Policy was reviewed and adopted in February 2021 to meet the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020. This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

The submissions will now be collated and presented to Council for their consideration. Council will then approve a final version which will guide future community engagement.

Where to from here

Once the community engagement period concludes, a thorough review and analysis of all feedback will be conducted. The insights gathered from your engagement will be shared with Councillors for their consideration. The final updated policy will be presented for formal adoption in an upcoming Council Meeting and will include an engagement report that shows how community feedback informed the decision of Council.
