A community park is being developed on a vacant area of land between Lukin, Eldridge and Perkin Courts. The park does not yet have a name.

The park is being developed for use primarily by the local community. It will be a place where people can walk to, can sit and play within and can meet family and friends for community events.

A local park is designed for short visits: perhaps a play time before a morning or afternoon nap, a break after school or work, or fun outside before an evening meal. A local park contains connected pathways and frequent seating, shade and shelter and gathering spaces and some opportunities for play.

Planning for the development of the park commenced late in 2023 with initial consultation with the local community. Two meetings were held to gain information and develop a vision for the park.

Community members identified that the park should be green and quiet, a place that is peaceful for people to walk through, sit within and to gather and play.

Further consultation occurred in April 2024 and confirmed that the draft landscape plan captures the suggestions and opportunities identified by the local community.

Works will start during the middle of 2024 and are expected to take 12 months.
