Horsham Skate Park has been transformed with a vibrant new mural, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local youth and visiting artists.

A Community Effort

In December 2025, 40 young people came together to contribute to the mural’s design. Many of these young artists had previously participated in street art activities at the Station, where they learned about composition, color, and style. It was incredibly rewarding to see them apply these skills in a public space, and their rapport with the visiting artists continues to grow.

Positive Impact

This project also serves as a case study on the positive impact facilitated art can have in deterring tagging and graffiti, which has been an issue at the bowl in the past.

Acknowledgements

A big thank you to everyone involved for making this project a success, especially FreeZA for their funding support.
