Help Shape our Municipality’s future

Under the Local Government Act 2020, Council must adopt a Community Vision and other key strategic plans that support the implementation of the Community Vision. The scope of the Vision must be for a period of at least the next 10 financial years.

Horsham Rural City Council’s Community Vision is a community-led and informed document that outlines the community's hopes, aspirations and priorities for how they would like their municipality to look and feel in 2041.

Councils must develop or review their Community Vision, along with other key strategic documents that support the delivery of the Vision, in the year a following a general election.

Council is currently reviewing the Community Vision to ensure it is in line with the communities hopes, aspirations and priorities and want your input into that process. We encourage all members of our community to participate in our survey and/or register to attend in person workshops which will inform the renewal of these key documents.

How to provide feedback

HRCC is pleased to partner with Projectura to deliver the Horsham Rural City Talks project. Projectura has been engaged to design and facilitate the engagement process, lead workshops, conduct the survey, and analyse and report on key insights.

Additionally, Projectura will support Council in drafting the Council Plan, ensuring that community voices remain at the heart of Council's strategic planning for the future.
